St. Paul’s cathedral, with its world-famous dome, is an iconic feature of the London skyline. For more than 1,400 years, a Cathedral dedicated to St Paul has stood at the highest point in the City. The present Cathedral is the masterpiece of Britain’s most famous architect Sir Christopher Wren.
Within the awe-inspiring cathedral there is plenty to explore. Venture down to the Crypt to discover the tombs and memorials of some of the nation’s greatest heroes such as Admiral Lord Nelson and the Duke of Wellington. Visitors can also try out the acoustic quirks of the Whispering Gallery and continue their climb to the Golden Gallery. If you can manage to climb the 500+ steps right to the top of the dome you will be rewarded with some of the best views in London.
