White painted floors reflect the light and complement the olive coloured walls. The usual expected appliances can be found in the kitchen including: microwave, oven with gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and several cafetiers – there is no washing machine but there is an excellent laundry / dry cleaners located nearby.

The first set of stairs leads to a large open-plan reception room (21ft x 13ft, 6.65m x 3.9m) with its large sash windows and French doors that bathe the room in plenty of light .

As well as providing superb views of the local church spires and traditional neighbouring houses, the reception room displays yet more personal touches with two proud portraits of the owner’s ancestors and an array of comfortable seating and stylish design features. The stairs from the reception/lounge lead the next floor and the bathroom which has been decorated in powder blue tones with whitewashed wooden floors and a back wall featuring decorative wallpaper with pretty flora and birds. There is a bath with over-shower, a traditional shower, basin and loo.

The next room to the left is the small “guest” bedroom (9ft x 7ft5, 2.74m x 2.29m) which has a king-sized bed slpits into two singles if required – please let us know when booking. The main bedroom (14ft7 x 14ft, 4.5m x 4.25m) is a light and airy room thanks to the two large windows. There is plenty of storage in the form of a fitted wardrobe and large chest of drawers, the room also has a chair, several small tables and lamps. A small door next to the bathroom houses a secret …… as the doors are opened, a ladder is revealed that leads up into a small study area with a two-seater sofa that converts into a full comfortable single bed. The doors from this room open onto an impressive roof terrace (21ft x 14ft, 6.6m x 4.5m) which is abundant with fragrant lavender and roses during the summer time. Please note that these facilities are not suitable for the old or infirm – you need to be able to climb up and down a 10ft (3m) fixed ladder which is at about 75° to the vertical.
