Most lockdown restrictions were lifted on Saturday 4 July. This includes the provision of short stay accommodation; public places and leisure facilities, tourist attractions, galleries and museums; restaurants, cafés, bars and pubs – providing they meet Covid-19 secure guidelines. Most importantly the “social distancing” rule has been reduced from 2m to 1m+
UK arrivals are now NOT REQUIRED to observe self-isolation in quarantine for 14 days if they are from the countries on this list. Arrivals from countries not on the list are still required to observe self-isolation in quarantine for 14 days. This list is being reviewed and updated regularly, so check back often.
So London is now open and NOW is a great time to visit.
Not every attraction, restaurant and pub is open and you will have to do some research to find out which are, and you may have to book first.
But it will all be worth it as you will experience London without the regular tourist hoards.

London’s buses and tubes are operating as normal, with the requirement that passengers over the age of 11 must wear a face covering or mask and maintain a social distance of a minimum of 1m – details.
