The owners have filled the space with interesting artwork and different textures, such as a large tapestry on the wall and patterned rug – touches like these give the room a real sense of personality and style. There is an unusual dining table made of sheet metal which adds an industrial accent to the room – the table can seat up to five guests. If you want to catch up with your favourite television shows there is a small flat-screen TV with digital channels.
The kitchen has a retro-style feel with its yellow and green tiled wall and green work surfaces. Here you will find an oven with hob, kettle, toaster, dishwasher and fridge-freezer. The washer/dryer is located in the bathroom next door. French doors lead out onto a small terrace which overlooks the garden square and has a bench, two chairs and a table.
The first bedroom (10ft2 x 8ft6, 3.1m x 2.6m) is simple and stylish. A white wooden floor, white walls and white shelves for clothes gives the room a modern feel. Bright curtains add an element of colour to the space and the white ‘distressed’ table with interesting bedside lamp adds character. The room has a double bed (6ft3 x 4ft6).
The master bedroom (20ft8 x 10ft9, 6.3m x 3.3m) is a very generous size – almost as big as the living area! It’s a bright space with a skylight and side window, white wooden floor, rustic drawers, fitted wardrobes, thick textured rugs and retro-style lighting. The room has twin beds that can be used as a large double when pushed together. The bathroom is located next to the living area – it’s a simple space with green tiled floor, basin, bath with over-shower and loo.
The property sits between Westbourne Park Underground Station (Circle, Hammersmith & City lines) and Notting Hill Gate (Central, Circle and District line). It should take you approximately five minutes to reach Westbourne Park and 10-15 minutes to get to Notting Hill Gate.
The area is popular with people looking to experience the vibrant and world-famous market (Portobello Road) that brims with handmade goodies and just about everything else you can think of – it should take you around 10 minutes to walk here. Also close to the property you’ll find plenty of unique fashion boutiques, restaurants, bars and coffee shops. The excellent transport links give easy access to all the usual visitor attractions.
