Just a few minutes walk from Notting Hill Gate tube station (Central, and District & Circle Line) and Holland Park tube station (Central Line), this attractive, modern apartment is ideally located. It’s a short 5/10 minutes on the tube to Marble Arch, Oxford Street, Bond Street, and High Street Kensington, in an area made famous by the movie Notting Hill as well as its world-famous street carnival held at the end of August every year. The area itself has a lot to offer in terms of shopping, restaurants, traditional pubs etc.etc., so it’s not necessary to venture too far for entertainment. Portobello Road Market, 15 minutes walk away is not to be missed! And of course lovely Holland Park is just a few minutes walk away.
The property is on the third floor (there is a lift) of a modern and secure apartment block and provides guests with an excellent base from which to explore the city. It has 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms (one en-suite) and sleeps 4. Secure, covered parking for one car may be available on request – £10 day.
The living area (19ft x 10ft7, 5.8m x 3.3m) combines kitchen area and living space and has a external balcony that is accessed through large French windows that allow lots of light into the room.
The room blends a modern living space with traditional English touches such as dark wooden furniture, bookshelves, lamps, patterned rugs and an interesting collection of art adorning the walls – this provides a ‘homely’ area where guests can relax.
There is a comfortable 3-seater leather sofa, three chairs and a small dining table. Other features include a flat-screen TV with Sky channels (including Sky Sports) a DVD player and an amp where you can plug in your own iPod.
The kitchen area is at the far end of the room and is a clean and modern space with an electric oven and hob, microwave, washer-dryer, dishwasher and fridge-freezer.
On the balcony there are two chairs and a table, it faces west so you will enjoy the afternoon and evening sun together with far-reaching views towards Holland Park.

The master bedroom (16ft5 x 10ft7, 5m x 3.3m) is along the hallway and is simple and clean in style with white walls and fitted wardrobes. There is also a chest of drawers, two chairs and a desk. The en-suite bathroom is white-tiled with a bath with over-shower, basin and loo.
The second bedroom (11ft3 x 8ft3, 3.4m x 2.5m) is next to the master bedroom and shares a similar clean and modern style with white walls and a laminate floor. The bed in this room has a trundle bed stowed underneath it so it can be just a single, a twin, or – if the two beds are zipped together, a double. Please tell us your requirements when booking. The second bathroom is adjoining and has a walk-in shower, basin and loo.
This vibrant part of the city is renowned for its excellent restaurants and famous Portobello Road Market – where you can pick up vintage goods and unique clothing made by local designers who sell their wares on a weekly basis. The market is well know for its extensive collection of antiques which, even if you don’t plan to purchase, are well worth a browse. Notting Hill is famous for its annual street carnival which attracts millions of visitors each year at the end of August – if you plan to visit around this time then it’s best to book well in advance!
For shoppers, Oxford Street, Regent Street and Bond Street are all just few stops away on the Central line and provide every shop you can imagine. Those looking for culture should visit the several museums in South Kensington, the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square, and the Tate Britain and Tate Modern galleries – all of which are free to visit.
