Rome
Coach House Rentals has now opened in Rome - same quality rentals, same personal service!
We currently have 9 properties on our books ranging from super-luxurious apartments to excellent value budget accommodation, and sleeping parties from 2 - 10.
September and October are the best and among the most popular months to visit Rome. The fiery heat of July and August has cooled a little and you can still eat and drink outside, without feeling chilly, until late at night. Autumn is the season of harvest festivals, so head out to the small towns around Rome to sample delicacies such as local cheeses, sausages, chestnuts and mushrooms.
There's so much to do and see in "the Eternal City" that it merits a stay of at least 5 days, preferably more. Go to our Rome website - http://www.rentals.chsrome.com to see the accommodation we offer and a suggestion of what to see and do.

Paris
At $/€ 1.40 Paris is good value compared to the lows ($/€1.58) of last year. September/October is a great time to visit the "City of Lights", Parisians are back from their summer break and the city is humming again. Two events to look out for:
The annual Festival of Paris Gardens (26 - 27 Sep) opens up the green spaces of Paris for two spectacular days. It features hundreds of free events in gardens throughout the French capital - from guided tours and walks to concerts and exhibitions. More information from 01 Sept at http://www.jardins.paris.fr.
Paris-Versailles Race/Walk (27 Sep). Walkers and fun runners have been taking part in the annual Paris-Versailles Walk, "grande classique", for more than 30 years. It starts on the steps of the Eiffel Tower and ends 16km away at the Chateau de Versailles. Full details and how to register at http://www.parisversailles.com/index.php?lang=en
Coach House Rentals have over 30 properties available for short holiday lets. Go to http://www.rentals.chsparis.com to view them and see our suggestions of what to see and do - including: "101 Things to Do in Paris", "Romantic Paris" and "Paris for Foodies."

London
With the exchange rate at $/£1.65 London is still great value compared to last year ($/£2). Autumn is a good time to visit, particularly as August and September are the only months when Buckingham Palace and The Palace of Westminster (Houses of Parliament) are open to the public. More details at http://www.royalcollection.org.uk and http://www.parliament.uk/visiting/visitingandtours.cfm.
On the weekend of 19 and 20 Sep you also have the chance to peek inside some 600 of the capital's most famous buildings and best-kept architectural secrets on London Open House Weekend. Explore the Foreign Office, the Bank of England and other landmark buildings that are normally obscured from public view. Details at http://www.londonopenhouse.org/

New York
We keep hearing of people who have been scammed booking their vacation rental via Craigslist. Sure - you might get a bargain, but while most ads are genuine, the sad fact remains that there are many fraudsters out there and Craigslist is an ideal environment for them. Play it safe and book with a reputable company. Coach House Rentals has been in business since 2001 and we have had many hundreds of happy, satisfied clients.
Mindful of these straightened times, we have recently lowered the price of several of our New York rentals.
Our full listing can be seen at
http://www.rentals.chsnyc.com/properties.htm.
Two particular events to come to New York for:
The New York Film Festival (25 Sep - 11 Oct). This 17 day festival, presented by The Film Society, premieres some 25 films - American and foreign with both established and up-and-coming directors. Details at http://filmlinc.com/nyff/nyff.html.
The Village Halloween Parade (31 Oct) is billed as the most outrageous Halloween event in the world and is one of New York's most colourful parties. See http://www.halloween-nyc.com.
